On-Site Welding Assessments

What an on-site welding and oxy/fuel assessment covers, how to prepare your crew and site, what records assessors expect, and how long it takes. Victoria-based on-site service from WeldCo.

An on-site assessment checks that the gear your team welds with is safe and working as it should — oxy/fuel sets, regulators, flashback arrestors, hoses, machines and the practices around them — without your crew standing down to cart equipment off-site.

Most workshops book one for the same reason: a client, an insurer or an auditor has asked for evidence, and nobody is certain what the current state of the equipment is. The assessment produces that evidence, and usually turns up a handful of items that were quietly overdue.

The guides below cover what to have ready before the assessor arrives, what documents and records get checked, how welders are observed against an approved procedure, and how long the visit realistically takes.

On-site assessment is a Victoria service, run out of our Laverton North branch. Our Wingfield, SA site is supply and fulfilment only. To book, see workplace safety services or call 1300 935 326.
