PRIVACYPOLICY

Last updated: 10 September 2026

This policy explains how WeldCo Solutions Pty Ltd ("WeldCo", "we", "us") handles personal information. It covers this website, our Tradestore ordering platform, and the SafeWeld app used by our staff and authorised customers.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address, phone number, business name and the account you are associated with. We use your email address or mobile number to send you a one-time code when you sign in.

Order and quote information. The products you view, quote, order and receive, along with delivery addresses, purchase order references and related correspondence.

Safety assessment information. Where you use the SafeWeld app, we collect the assessment records you create. This includes the equipment assessed, your answers to the assessment questions, photographs you capture, risk findings, and the job, site and client the assessment relates to, together with the identity of the person who completed it and when.

Technical information. Basic device and usage information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and log data used to keep the service running and to diagnose faults.

We do not collect payment card details through the SafeWeld app. We do not seek to collect sensitive information, and ask that you do not include it in free text fields or photographs unless it is necessary for the assessment.

How we use it

We use personal information to provide and support our products and services: to verify who you are when you sign in, to process quotes, orders and deliveries, to create and retain safety assessment records, to provide support, to meet our record-keeping and work health and safety obligations, and to improve and secure our systems.

We will only use your information for a purpose you would reasonably expect, or for a purpose you have consented to, or where we are required or authorised by law.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where necessary, with:

  • service providers who operate our systems on our behalf, including cloud hosting, business systems, email and SMS delivery, and support providers;
  • the business or client an assessment or order relates to, where the record is created for them;
  • professional advisers, insurers and regulators where required; and
  • anyone else with your consent, or where required or authorised by law.

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Storage and security

Information is held in access-controlled business systems. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure, including access controls, encryption in transit, and one-time codes rather than stored passwords for sign-in.

No system can be guaranteed completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will respond in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as we are required to keep it under law. Safety assessment records and their amendment history are retained as business and compliance records. When information is no longer needed and we are not required to retain it, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before we can act on your request, and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Cookies

Our website and Tradestore use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work correctly without them. The SafeWeld app does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking.

Children

Our products and services are intended for business use and are not directed at children.
